Grants of $2,500 to USA K-12 teachers for projects to enhance the quality of classroom education. Please note that teachers must be nominated prior to entering the contest; self-nominations are allowed. Winners will be decided during a public voting period. The winning teachers will receive a grant for the purchase of classroom-based materials.

There will be up to sixty (60) winners per Contest Period. A total of up to 180 winners will be declared during the entire Contest.
The contest is open to full-time, employed School teachers, Kindergarten (K) through Twelfth (12th) Grade, who have been officially thanked at www.thankamericasteachers.com, who have not been a “Thank American’s Teachers” $2,500 Contest Winner, who are legal residents of the United States, excluding where otherwise prohibited by law, rule or regulation, which are at least 18 years of age at the time of entry.
This contest is specifically void outside the United States, in Puerto Rico, and wherever prohibited by law.
Employees of Farmers Group, Inc. and Farmers Insurance Exchange or any of their promotional or advertising agencies with regard to this Contest and each of its and their respective parents, affiliates and subsidiaries, and each of their respective officers, employees, directors, members, legal representatives, agents, district managers, successors and assigns are not eligible. Proof of legal U.S. residency, proof of employment as a full-time school teacher (K-12th grade) at time of entry and at time of prize award and age may be required. The Winner must be a full-time, employed school teacher in the United States at the time of entry and on the date the Prize is awarded.
Please note: To help spread the impact across the country, only five proposals can win from the same school district for each contest period.
The Contest begins at 9:00 AM PST on January 10, 2018 and officially ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on December 31, 2018. The Contest will consist of three Contest periods with three Contest Entry Periods and three Contest Voting Periods where up to sixty winners will be declared for each Contest Period.
Teachers must have received a Thank You Note to be eligible to apply. Thank You Note can come from yourself, a family member, student, or any supporter. More information about submitting a Thank You Note may be found here:
