Opportunity to enter a contest for USA and Canada nonprofit organizations and registered charities in multiple states and provinces to support community gardening projects. Winners will receive $5,000 to use for the development of an organic garden. Applicants in all US states except Arizona, and in all provinces except Quebec are eligible to apply.

The Gardens for Good grant program supports community gardens across North America that are growing organic food and doing good in their communities.

The Prize must be used specifically for the development of an organic garden that will supply food to a non-profit feeding agency such as a food bank, soup kitchen, emergency pantry, shelter, before or after school program or other similar type of program.

Entries will be judged by representatives from Sponsor based on the following criteria:

  • The compelling, empowering, and inspirational nature in which the Eligible Non-Profit Participant describes their organic garden project,
  • The Eligible Non-Profit Participant’s ability to establish and maintain a garden taking into consideration available resources and land permit use, and
  • The demonstrated need of the community served by the Eligible Non-Profit Participant submitting the Entry.
