THE HALL OF FAME ("WPJSHF") EDUCATES YOUTH AS TO THEIR HERITAGE VIS-A-VIS MEN AND WOMEN WHO HAVE MADE SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO SOCIETY THROUGH AND LIKEWISE EDUCATES THE GENERAL PUBLIC REGARDING THE HISTORY AND CONTRIBUTION OF JEWS TO SOCIETY THROUGH . THIS EDUCATIONAL PROCESS CULMINATES EACH YEAR IN THE ENSHRINEMENT OF ATHLETES AND NOTABLE FIGURES INTO THE WPJSHF, WHO HAVE DISTINGUISHED THEMSELVES THROUGH SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE COMMUNITY BOTH ON AND OFF THE FIELD. THE WPJSHF SELLS ADVERTISING AT ITS ENSHRINEMENT DINNER AND ASSESSES MEMBERSHIP DUES AMOUNG ITS MEMBERS TO RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT AND OTHER YOUTH BASED PROGRAMMING IN AND ABOUT THE PITTSBURGH AREA. THE WPJSHF, ON A CONTINUING BASIS, COLLECTS, PRESERVES, AND CONTRIBUTES PHOTOGRAPHS AND MEMORABILIA OF PROMINANT ATHLETES TO THE RAUH ARCHIVES OF THE HEINZ HISTORY CENTER AND OTHER CULTUR
