Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research (FFAR)

Grants to USA, Canada, and International nonprofit and for-profit organizations, educational institutions, and research agencies for research related to agriculture and food. Applicants must submit a pre-application prior to submitting a full proposal. Areas of focus include soil health, sustainable water management, next generation crops, advanced animal systems, urban food systems, and health- agriculture nexus.
FFAR is placing priority on projects that demonstrate strong partnerships and significant agricultural advancements through innovation. To be considered, applications must address and provide solutions to an intractable problem and/or accelerate innovation within FFAR’s Challenge Areas. Up to ten awards
Individual awards will range from $300,000 to $1 million.
All projects must have planned durations ranging between 12 and 60 months. Anticipated Project Start Date: Early 2022
